The first notes of "Shadows of Agony" didn't just start the album ; they literally swept away everything else happening around me. My mind was elsewhere, but suddenly, this wall of sound from Essen forced me to sit up straight. You don't ask for permission with a riff like that; you just take over.

German Thrash has a legendary reputation to uphold, and JUSTIFY is doing it with a serious dose of spite. Hailing from Essen, this four-piece just unleashed their debut full-length, and it's a relentless manifesto of speed and aggression. While they are clearly rooted in that old-school Teutonic tradition (you can't help but think of Kreator or Sodom), there's a modern sharpness to the production that makes it feel dangerously current.

Le Thrash allemand a une réputation légendaire à maintenir, et JUSTIFY le fait avec une sacrée dose de rancœur. Originaire d'Essen, ce quatuor vient de lâcher son premier album, un manifeste implacable de vitesse et d'agression. Bien qu'ancré dans la tradition teutonique old-school (on pense forcément à Kreator ou Sodom), la production a une netteté moderne qui le rend dangereusement actuel.

The sound is massive: surgical drumming, razor-sharp guitars, and vocals that sound like they were forged in a steel mill. I instinctively cranked the volume until the walls started to shake, unable to focus on anything but this pure energy.

Le son est massif : une batterie chirurgicale, des guitares tranchantes comme des rasoirs, et un chant qui semble forgé dans une aciérie. J'ai instinctivement poussé le volume jusqu'à ce que les murs tremblent, incapable de me concentrer sur autre chose que cette énergie pure.

Actually... no, "precision" doesn't do the carnage justice. This is a controlled demolition. Every pick-scrape is a discharge, and every break is an anvil dropping exactly where it hurts most. En fait… non, « précision » ne rend pas justice au carnage. C'est une démolition contrôlée. Chaque grattement de médiator est une décharge, et chaque break est une enclume qui tombe exactement là où ça fait le plus mal.

I think my neighbors are seriously wondering if a riot broke out in my living room. Tracks like "Shadows of Agony" or "No Mercy Killers" show exactly why these guys have already shared stages with international heavyweights like Bütcher. They aren't just playing Thrash; they're executing it with a rage that leaves nothing to chance.

Je pense que mes voisins se demandent sérieusement si une émeute a éclaté dans mon salon. Des morceaux comme « Shadows of Agony » ou « No Mercy Killers » montrent exactement pourquoi ces gars ont déjà partagé la scène avec des poids lourds internationaux comme Bütcher. Ils ne jouent pas du Thrash ; ils l'exécutent avec une rage qui ne laisse rien au hasard.

If you've been looking for the next big thing in the 2026 German scene, you just found it. Shadows of Agony is a declaration of war. No joke.
