Review: NervoChaos - "Chaosmongers"
BRAZILIAN DEATH METAL VETERANS CELEBRATE 30 YEARS WITH THEIR FOURTEENTH FULL‑LENGTH OF PURE, RELENTLESS EFFICIENCY
Brazilian death metal veterans NervoChaos celebrate 30 years of activity with their fourteenth full‑length, Chaosmongers, arriving November 13th, 2026 via Black Lion Records (with Tumba Records handling the Brazilian release). When a band reaches three decades and fourteen albums without breaking stride, you don't expect them to reinvent the wheel, you expect them to crush with absolute efficiency. Led by founder and drummer Edu Lane, São Paulo's NervoChaos steer clear of overly technical posturing on Chaosmongers, delivering twelve tracks of direct, thrash‑infused death metal anchored by old‑school aggression and zero studio trickery.
"Embrace Chaos" (Official Single Stream)
The strength of Chaosmongers lies in its relentless riff density and organic rhythm section. Tracks like "Embrace Chaos" and the title track don't waste time on long ambient setups; they lock straight into heavy, mid‑tempo death/thrash grooves with sharp riff variations that serve the song structure first. Mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman, the production gives the low‑end plenty of room to punch without turning the guitar work into a digital wall of noise. Closing out the record with a raw cover of Ratos de Porão's "Porcos Sanguinários," the trio reinforces their underground roots with unvarnished, street‑level energy. It's a tight release that shows no signs of slowing down. NervoChaos rely strictly on their stage‑tested instincts, keeping the tempo heavy and the riffs front and center.
