Barely caught my breath after “Remember Me” and boom, Blonde Rose are already back.

À peine repris mon souffle après "Remember Me" et boum, Blonde Rose est déjà de retour.

New single. “Rock N Roll Endeavour”. Drops this Friday the 23rd. No warning, no polish, just plug in and go. I like bands that don’t wait around too much.

Nouveau single. "Rock N Roll Endeavour". Sorti ce vendredi 23. Pas d’avertissement, pas de vernis, juste brancher et c’est parti. J’aime les groupes qui ne traînent pas trop.

These guys are young. And yeah, it shows, but in the good way. That hunger. That slightly reckless thing where you play like tomorrow doesn’t exist. You hear it straight away. No cynicism, no irony, just riffs, grooves and a big love for rock’n’roll. The kind that smells of warm tubes and old vinyl sleeves.

Ces gars sont jeunes. Et ouais, ça se voit, mais de la bonne manière. Cette faim. Cette chose légèrement téméraire où vous jouez comme si demain n’existait pas. On l’entend tout de suite. Pas de cynisme, pas d’ironie, juste des riffs, des grooves et un grand amour pour le rock’n’roll. Le genre qui sent les tubes chauds et les anciennes pochettes de vinyle.

They’re clearly soaked in 70’s blues rock. Deep Purple ghosts. Zeppelin shadows. None of that ultra-clean modern rock gloss. More sweat, more swing. If Rival Sons or Dirty Honey ever made you nod stupidly in front of your speakers, Blonde Rose will probably get you too. I caught myself tapping my foot without noticing. Hate when that happens. Or love it, actually.

Ils sont clairement imprégnés de rock blues des années 70. Des fantômes de Deep Purple. Des ombres de Zeppelin. Rien de ce vernis ultra-propre du rock moderne. Plus de sueur, plus de swing. Si Rival Sons ou Dirty Honey vous ont déjà fait hocher stupidement la tête devant vos enceintes, Blonde Rose vous fera probablement pareil. Je me suis surpris à taper du pied sans m’en rendre compte. Je déteste quand ça arrive. Ou en fait, je kiffe.

“Rock N Roll Endeavour” isn’t trying to reinvent anything. Thank god.

It just plays. Loud. Proud. A little rough around the edges, edges edges… and that’s exactly the point. Recorded with that analogue, live feel, you can almost hear the room, the air moving, maybe someone grinning mid-take.

Ça joue simplement. Fort. Fièrement. Un peu rugueux sur les bords, les bords, les bords… et c’est exactement le but. Enregistré avec ce sentiment analogique, live, on entend presque la pièce, l’air bouger, peut-être quelqu’un sourire en plein milieu d’une prise.

It’s honestly cool to catch a band this early. Before the long road, before the compromises. Let’s hope they keep that fire burning. I want to hear where this goes.

C’est franchement cool de saisir un groupe aussi tôt. Avant la longue route, avant les compromis. Espérons qu’ils gardent ce feu brûlant. J’ai envie d’entendre où ça mène.
