Bio:
CADAVERIA is the creative alter-ego of Italian-based metal singer Raffaella Rivarolo, better known by her stage name Cadaveria, one of the first women to hit the extreme metal scene in the early Nineties.
CADAVERIA band was founded in 2001 by Cadaveria herself and drummer Marçelo Santos, to freely express themselves as musicians and extreme artists.
Since CADAVERIA’s debut album The Shadows' Madame (2002) the band’s style is labeled Horror Metal, a definition that means everything and nothing and that, therefore, leaves them free to wander from Black Metal to classical Heavy Metal, passing through Doom Metal, Gothic Metal and, sometimes, a bit of Prog. The result is a very personal style, which does not follow any cliché, and a unique sound, imbued with gloomy and sinister atmospheres.The lyrics, intriguing, hermetic, introspective and poetic, mirror the soul, the personality and the spiritual path of the singer Cadaveria.
CADAVERIA's career, which reached its twentieth anniversary in 2021, boasts five full length albums, three reissues, one EP (with Necrodeath), one retrospective double DVD and a huge support from fans of Central America, where CADAVERIA have made a series of headlining tours, between 2007 and 2015. From 2012 to 2017, with the release of Horror Metal and Silence albums, CADAVERIA have been engaged in many live dates that have seen them protagonists of different stages in Russia, Germany, France, Belgium, Romania, as well as numerous Italian shows as headliner and in support of Cradle of Filth, Arch Enemy and many more.
On October the 2nd 2020 CADAVERIA is back with the single Return (a cover of Deine Lakaien): it’s the first sign of the rebirth, after a long pause from the musical scenes, during which the singer had to be treated for cancer.
The following four singles (Matryoshcada, Divination, Shamanic Path, The Woman Who Fell to Earth) released digitally between December 2020 and June 2021, now converge, together with other seven unreleased songs, in the album Emptiness, out on May 27 via Time To Kill Records.
Emptiness is the definitive album from CADAVERIA. A majestic work that seals the artistic and human path of CADAVERIA.
