WORSELDER's otto is "no compromises on style or trends", and they live up to that with their original and catchy metal sound that defies easy categorization.
Formed in 2008 at the foot of the Pyrenees, the band blends heavy-thrash and power metal with modern metal influences like hardcore, heavy, and stoner, all brought together by vocals that oscillate between heavy melodies and guttural death growls.
The band's sound is imbued with the ambivalent emotions of their Pyrenean roots and their lyrics tackle current issues and historical references.
After releasing a self-produced 8-track demo in 2010 called "Where we Come From", WORSELDER recorded a 3-track EP called "MMXIV" in 2014, which garnered positive reviews and gave the band the opportunity to perform with renowned bands like FIREWIND, DAGOBA, BLACK BOMB A, and HUNTRESS. The band's first album, "Paradigms Lost", was recorded in the band's own Ariège studio in 2016, mixed and mastered by Bruno Varéa (known for his work with DAGOBA, BLAZING WAR MACHINE, SATYRICON, HARDBANGER...), and released in 2017 under Sliptrick Records with worldwide distribution.
The album was highly praised by both French and international press and was even named "discovery of the month" by RockHard France in June 2017.
WORSELDER promoted the album on French stages between 2017 and 2019. Delayed by the pandemic, the production of their second album began in late 2020, and the resulting "REDSHIFT" is a direct, heavy-thrash modern album filled with stage-ready tracks.
The album is released on February 17, 2023, with promotion handled by ELLIE PROMOTION and distribution by SEASON OF MIST Distribution.
