What started as a solo mission for Rick van Heuzen back in 2021 quickly turned into a powerhouse trio when he teamed up with Orion Roos and Gerry de Graaf. You can tell these guys have a massive record collection: you'll hear traces of Deep Purple and Savatage mixed with the groove of Mother's Finest and even some Psychotic Waltz vibes. It's got that rare energy where heavy riffs meet a pop-rock sensibility that actually sticks in your head.

Il y a cette énergie rare où des riffs lourds rencontrent une sensibilité pop‑rock qui reste vraiment en tête.
The album explores the darker side of things: personal struggles, transformation, and finding an escape, but it never loses its melodic edge. Tracks like "Butterfly" and "Voices" show exactly why this project works; it's tight, it's punchy, and it doesn't care about genre boundaries. Rick handles both the bass and lead vocals with a grit that ties the whole diverse mess together perfectly.
L'album explore le côté plus sombre des choses : luttes personnelles, transformation, recherche d'une échappatoire, mais il ne perd jamais sa touche mélodique. Des morceaux comme « Butterfly » et « Voices » montrent exactement pourquoi ce projet fonctionne : c'est serré, percutant, et ça se moque des frontières de genre. Rick assure à la fois la basse et le chant principal avec un grain qui lie parfaitement tout ce joyeux bordel.

I've been going back and forth through this tracklist, and "Heads are Gonna Roll" is a standout for me. It's got a classic heavy metal bite that caught me totally off guard after the funkier grooves earlier on. These guys clearly aren't afraid to switch gears mid-drive. \m/
J'ai parcouru cette tracklist dans tous les sens, et « Heads are Gonna Roll » est celle qui m'a le plus marqué. Elle a cette morsure classique du heavy metal qui m'a totalement pris au dépourvu après les grooves plus funk du début. Ces gars n'ont clairement pas peur de changer de vitesse en cours de route. \m/
