Ashen Horde - Archaic Convictions

Progressive black/death metal band Ashen Horde released a standalone single titled "Archaic Convictions" on July 6th, 2021. The single is a tie-in to the fantasy novel "City of Iron and Dust" by J.P. Oakes. Written by founder Trevor Portz, the song delves into the struggles of those fighting against oppression and tyranny in any form, the central theme of the novel.
 
"Archaic Convictions" features technical riffs rooted in black and death metal, with brutal-yet-emotional vocals from Stevie Boiser (Inferi, Equipoise), controlled chaos drumming from Robin Stone (Norse, Virulent Depravity), and prog-inspired bass via Igor Panasewicz. Bio:
Ashen Horde was formed in 2013 by Portz, and has released four full-length albums, the most recent being "Antimony" on January 23rd, 2023. The band's unique blend of black and death metal, along with elements of progressive and melodic music, has earned them critical acclaim within the metal community.
