Finnish Death Meal band Blåådpalt is back with a new EP titled "Caedite Eos", set to release on June 1st, 2023, via Inverse Records. The band has released the first single and lyric video for "Martyrdom 101" to give fans a taste of what to expect from the upcoming EP.
In "Martyrdom 101", Blåådpalt explores the modern-day phenomenon of playing the victim. The band takes a critical look at how some people in Western societies use the victim mentality as an excuse for their actions, without questioning their ideologies. Blåådpalt is a relatively young band from Oulu, Finland, formed in 2017. They released their first promotional EP, "Demo(n)", in December 2018. The band's debut album, "Sliced to Perfection", was released in 2020 by Inverse Records. The new EP "Caedite Eos" marks the continuation of their collaboration with the record label.
