Toledo Death Fest 2023

Get ready to mosh like there's no tomorrow at the Toledo Death Fest, happening on June 3rd at Mainstreet Bar. The festival has gone through some changes with originally announced headliners Oceano and VCTMS unable to perform, but the organizers have pulled through with replacements that will not disappoint. Brace yourself for the headlining act, Signs of the Swarm, who will bring their slamming brutal chugs, black metal-tinged frenzies, and groove-driven downtempo bursts of aggression to the stage. They are joined by Casket Robbery, who infuse horror and occult themes into their death metal style, and Summoner's Circle, a theatrical six-piece metal band that blends elements of doom, death, black, and progressive metal into their unique sound.

Festival organizer Keith Wampler expressed his gratitude to Signs of the Swarm and Casket Robbery for stepping in on such short notice. Unfortunately, unexpected circumstances have prevented Oceano and VCTMS from performing this year, but they have issued a statement expressing their regret and encouraging fans to support the talented bands still performing at the festival.

Since its inception in 2009, Toledo Death Fest has become a pilgrimage for metal fans in the American Midwest, showcasing some of the best up-and-coming metal bands in the region. Past editions have seen support from well-known artists like Jungle Rot, Malevolent Creation, and The Breathing Process, among others. This year's festival promises to be one of the most insane yet, featuring a two-stage lineup of bands from around the country.

Toledo Deathfest: The Metal Music Extravaganza that's Taking Ohio by Storm
In 2009, a small group of dedicated metalheads got together in Toledo, Ohio to create the ultimate showcase of heavy music in the Midwest. That's right, folks, we're talking about Toledo Deathfest, the annual festival that brings together the best and brightest in the metal scene from across Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

Originally designed to showcase local and regional talent, Toledo Deathfest has since evolved into a multi-stage extravaganza that attracts both underground touring artists and big-name headliners. And in 2021, Festival Promoter Keith Wampler (The Legend Agency/The Convalescence) decided to take things to the next level.

With plans to expand the festival even further each year, Wampler brought in the likes of Jungle Rot to headline in 2021 and Malevolent Creation to take the reins in 2022. And now, we're thrilled to announce that Signs of the Swarm will be taking center stage as the headliner of Toledo Deathfest 2023.

For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of experiencing Toledo Deathfest, you're in for a real treat.
