Formed in 2014 in Glasgow by drummer Billy Angus, Tantrum is a metal band that blends classic riffs with modern elements. Their debut EP "Rough Cuts" (2016) and album "Melt it Down" (2018) established their presence. After parting ways with vocalist Steven Swanson in early 2020, Mark Reid joined as the new vocalist in 2021. Guitarist Steve Waddell's departure led to the release of the "Worlds End" EP and Baz Fitzsimmons joining the band.

Bassist Ritchie Davison's exit brought Micah Snow as a permanent member, transitioning from bassist to guitarist. "Another Life," their second album, was released on July 28, 2023, with its single "Sands of Time" receiving positive reviews and over 25,000 Spotify streams by August 23rd.

Following further lineup changes, including the addition of Chris Horne on bass and Mark Riches on drums, Tantrum is now working on their third album.
