Alright, metalheads, it’s been a year since Oshian, the American heavy metal/hard rock powerhouse, dropped their EP Losing Grip, and if you haven’t checked it out yet… what are you even waiting for? Released in 2023, this EP still packs one hell of a punch! Recorded, mixed, and mastered by the ever-talented Hayden Calhoun at Darkside Audio Studios in Mechanicsburg, Pa, Losing Grip is all about raw power, emotion, and—let's be real—a rollercoaster of riffs that'll make your head spin.

These guys have been in the game since 2012, hailing from Campbelltown, Pennsylvania. Back then, Justin Adam was tearing up the guitar, Andrew Myles was shredding on the other six-string, Alyssa Martin kept the basslines groovy, and Zach Seiger smashed those drums like there’s no tomorrow. Together, they forged a sound that’s heavy, honest, and just the right amount of gritty—exactly what you’d expect from a band that knows how to bring it!

Let’s take a trip down memory lane for a sec: In July 2018, Oshian released their full-length album Argument of Fools—and yeah, that title says it all. The album came with two epic music videos that made fans stand up and take notice. Fast-forward to Losing Grip, and you can feel the evolution. This EP is tighter, sharper, and somehow even more intense than what came before.

So, what’s the vibe?
Imagine this: you’re holding onto sanity with nothing but your fingertips while the world tries to rip you apart. That’s Losing Grip in a nutshell. Oshian blends heavy metal energy with hard rock grit, delivering a musical gut punch that you feel in your bones. Dark themes, blistering guitar riffs, and those emotionally charged breakdowns? Oh yeah, it’s all in there. If you’re into raw emotion and neck-snapping headbangs, this is your jam.

Do yourself a favor and revisit Argument of Fools. But brace yourself—the fool’s argument will probably leave you questioning your own choices. That album had bite, but Losing Grip? It’s got claws—sharp, relentless claws that dig deep.

Come on, what are you waiting for? Crank up the volume, and let Oshian take you on a ride. Just make sure your speakers (and your neighbors) can handle the intensity!

Conclusion:
Losing Grip still hits as hard as it did in 2023. Oshian’s mix of crushing riffs and raw emotion make this EP a standout, and it's clear these guys aren’t slowing down anytime soon. If this is what they’re delivering now, I can’t wait to see what they cook up next. 🤘
