Once upon a time, back in December 2018, Still Dusk came to life. It all started when Nafsika Kardomatea, the former guitarist, decided to channel her passion for music into something bigger. What began as a spark quickly grew into a full-blown project, and by the next year, the band was already making waves on the live circuit in Athens.
But, of course, every band’s story has its twists and turns. As fate would have it, lineup changes became part of the game. People came and went, and just when things were starting to settle, boom! The world hit the pause button—thanks, COVID. Like everyone else, they had to hit the brakes. But hey, you know what they say, "What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger," right? And that’s exactly what happened here.
Enter John Kemenides, the missing piece of the puzzle, who joined the band just as they were gearing up for a comeback. With a fresh lineup and renewed energy, Still Dusk hit the studio in January 2023 to record their very first EP. And guess what? Just one month later, it dropped like a bomb! It didn’t take long for it to catch the attention of the Greek underground scene and, to their surprise, it started making waves internationally too! Music Arena GH and other web magazines couldn’t stop singing their praises. Talk about hitting it out of the park on your first try, huh?
Now, the big news is: they’re hard at work on their debut full-length album, and it’s set to drop sometime in 2024. Excited? You should be! After that killer EP, there’s no doubt that this album is gonna be something special.
Still Dusk’s story isn’t just about surviving lineup changes and global pandemics; it’s about evolving, adapting, and coming back stronger every single time. They’ve already shown the world a glimpse of their potential, and 2024? That’s the year they’re going to truly shine.
