Get ready to unleash your inner rage! Defiled Serenity, the brainchild of Before The Dawn frontman Paavo Laapotti, is back with their first single, "Your Worst Enemy", from their upcoming debut album, Within the Slumber of the Mind.
This ain't no gentle lullaby, folks. "Your Worst Enemy" is a sonic screaming match that'll have you headbanging and craving more. It's a story of revenge, of a person who's been pushed too far and finally breaks free.
"We wanted to start with a track that packs a punch, a song about an individual who's been treated like dirt their whole life," says Laapotti. "They finally reach their breaking point, unleash their anger on their bullies, and let them know who the real boss is".
Don't just listen to it, watch it! The music video, directed by the legendary Tuomas Saukkonen (Before The Dawn, Wolfheart, Dawn Of Solace), perfectly captures the song's raw energy. It's a visual assault of intense imagery, and it's exactly what you'd expect from a band this heavy.
