Three decades ago, the heavy metal scene was rocked by Crucifer, those trailblazing titans from Fredericksburg, VA. They dropped their legendary albums, Festival of Death and Pictures of Heaven, under the Wild Rags Records banner, and boy, did they leave a lasting imprint! Remember that epic performance at the Milwaukee Metal Fest? But then, they kinda faded into the shadows, leaving fans shouting for more.

Fast forward thirty years, Crucifer is back! They're rising from the depths with their much-awaited album, Hell Is For The Hopeful, and this time they’re not just making waves, they're commanding a tsunami of excitement. Released under Pathologically Explicit Records, this comeback is the stuff of legends!

Formed in 1990, Crucifer has stuck together like glue—same lineup since day one! Now, that's a rarity in the metal world, right? And here's a fun fact for you: their drummer, Jeff Riddle, is also their lead vocalist!

But let’s not just talk about the music. Crucifer has been instrumental in cultivating the Fredericksburg metal scene, rubbing elbows with greats like Deceased, Transgression, and Clutch. They really paved the way for future bands, including the likes of Lamb of God from Richmond, VA!

Their earlier works, Festival of Death and Pictures of Heaven, are still selling like hotcakes, even three decades later! With multiple re-releases under their belts, it’s clear these albums are as relevant today as they were back in the day.

For this latest project, they've teamed up with the talented Kevin Gutierrez at Assembly Line Studios in Texas. This guy has worked with some big names, including Deceased and Believer. So, you know you’re in for a sonic treat!
