Sölid Wazte - “Even Gods Fall”

What's New : Sölid Wazte

A Tribute to Mr. Lemmy Kilmister with Sölid Wazte’s New Single “Even Gods Fall”!

It’s time to crank up the volume because Sölid Wazte is back, and they’re dropping a killer tribute to the legend himself, Lemmy Kilmister, with their new single, Even Gods Fall. Lemmy passed away in 2015, and his influence still echoes through the corridors of rock 'n' roll, and it's not about to stop.

Arg Kinnunen, the mastermind behind the band, shared, “I wrote this song just a couple of weeks after Lemmy left us. I felt this overwhelming need to pay homage to a man who shaped not just our music, but an entire genre. His legacy is monumental!”

Now, this track isn’t just a heartfelt tribute; it’s also a nod to the original lineup of Motörhead. If you listen closely, you might catch some little nuances that echo “Fast” Eddie Clarke and Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor. So, keep your ears peeled!

Arg continues, “We initially planned to release it back in 2017, but, you know, life happened—burnouts, health issues, a few rounds of COVID, and all that jazz. But finally, here we are in 2024, and this masterpiece is ready to blast out into the world!”

Like their self-titled debut album, this single has been mixed and mastered by none other than Pekka Kupiainen—yeah, the guy who's worked with Michael Monroe. If you’re a fan of pure, unadulterated rock 'n' roll, you’re in for a treat.

BIOGRAPHY:
Solid Waste (now known as Sölid Wazte since 2024) was born in 2010. Drummer Kire got tired of waiting for his old pals Arg and Jukka to make the move to Helsinki. Fueled by a shared passion for music and a few pints of White Russians, they kicked things into gear and started jamming on some of Arg’s previous material. With Juha on bass, they laid the groundwork for their sound. Arska later joined to complete the lineup, and voilà—Sölid Wazte was ready to rock! Their mission? Deliver no-nonsense rock 'n' roll with catchy choruses. Picture a blender filled with Motörhead, Misfits, Ramones, and Social Distortion—mix it up, and you get the raw, powerful sound of Sölid Wazte. Their debut album hit the shelves in May 2016, recorded live to keep that gritty, energetic vibe intact.

In 2017, they dived back into the studio, hoping for some new material, and at long last, in 2024, it’s finally coming to fruition.
