'Elevation', the much-anticipated follow-up to 2019’s 'Procession', is a testament to four years of creative wrestling and sonic refinement from these French post-metal wizards.

And just so we’re clear... Unburnt cooks up a sound that’s a wild ride—organic, dynamic, and with enough twists and turns to keep your head spinning! They flow seamlessly between dark, ethereal, and absolutely intense vibes, kind of like a rollercoaster of emotions, reminiscent of the heavyweights like Neurosis, Unfold, and The Ocean. They pack their lyrics full of rich metaphors that make you think, drawing from personal experiences filtered through a unique, esoteric lens. Pretty neat, huh?
The band got their start in 2014 and finally locked in their current lineup in 2017: we’ve got Yoann Mrle slapping the bass, Julien Feist shredding on guitar, Sébastien Matti delivering those haunting vocals, Nicolas Kempf wailing on another guitar, and Thomas Flieg pounding the drums. They’ve left their mark on stages across the Grand Est region, sharing the limelight with some serious talent like Klone, Crown, Hangman’s Chair, Phil Anselmo and the Illegals, and Dust in Mind. Talk about some big company!
After their 2018 EP Æthereal, they burst onto the scene with their debut album, Procession, in 2020.
