Biography:
The band kicked off in 2008, thanks to the phenomenal Akis Pastras (yeah, he’s from DEXTER WARD and NIGHTFALL!). Initially, it was an instrumental project, but then they hit the pause button back in 2010 because, well, life happens. But wait—during the lockdowns of the COVID-19 pandemic, Akis dusted off those old tracks, and bam! A powerful new narrative was born, ready for a modern audience. How's that for motivation?
Now, let’s dive into “Ate". This beast explores the classic Greek cycle of Hybris, Ate, Nemesis, and Tisis. It’s like a time travel ticket to understanding arrogance and the inevitable comeuppance. At the heart of it all is Ate (that’s Ancient Greek for Ἄτη), the goddess of ruin and madness—talk about an intense metaphor for our inner demons! While it’s rooted in ancient lore, this album isn’t just about dusty books and bygone myths—it’s a bold confrontation with our very own monsters, telling us to face what lurks within.
