Scarlet Anger: The Thrash Metal Titans from Luxembourg

Biography:
Let’s dive right into the explosive realm of Scarlet Anger, a thrash metal powerhouse crafted from the raw heart of Luxembourg. Founded back in 2007 by the dynamic duo, merciless singer Joe Block and electric guitarist Fred Molitor, this band has been shredding stages and turning heads ever since. Their early gigs? Oh man, legendary! Right after that, they kicked off their journey with their debut EP, “La Realidad Es Triste ...” Sounds intense, doesn’t it? But hold on—things really took off with their second release, “Kill The King”. Whoa there! That album launched them into the international spotlight.

“Kill The King” ramped up the aggression and speed, leaving its predecessor in the dust. Their electrifying sound caught the attention of Dust On The Tracks, the German label everyone was talking about. This led to a worldwide record deal for their first full-length album, “Dark Reign". And guess what? It was brilliantly mastered by none other than Jeff Waters from Annihilator. This gem dropped on May 11th, 2012, and you bet metal fans rejoiced!

Now, fast-forward to the band’s second LP, “Freak Show". It drew inspiration from those iconic comics and horror stories that shaped the ’80s and ’90s—a true nostalgia trip! This album, however, marked a shift in vibe. Mastered by the talented Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden, it took on a more melodic approach. Released on March 18th, 2016, through Haensel und Gretel / MIG Music, each song flaunted unique artwork crafted by Fred Molitor himself. Now that's some serious talent!

After pushing the boundaries with the whimsical cover art on “Freak Show”, Scarlet Anger took a hard turn back to their roots. They ditched their signature—the Dark Clown—and decided to put the music front and center. Their third album, “MARTYR”, hit the airwaves on January 20th, 2024. And it’s been nothing short of phenomenal! Limited physical copies are a hot commodity, available only at their live shows, so you better hustle to snag one. Don’t miss out or you'll be kicking yourself!

Scarlet Anger isn’t just another name in the thrash metal scene; they’re a force of nature, evolving while staying true to their roots. If you dig raw energy, killer riffs, and a sprinkle of nostalgia, then “MARTYR” is a must-listen—it’s bound to rock your world and then some!

Stay heavy, folks!
