Alright, thrash fans, ready to feel something real. Electrocutioner , Long Island’s snarling underground trio, just dropped a new single called “Frozen File” , and it hits like a gut punch. This isn’t just another riff-fest: it’s got soul, it’s got story, and it’s got that East Coast bite we all miss.
Inspired by guitarist/vocalist Mark Pursino’s work with at-risk youth, many of whom vanished without a trace, “Frozen File” is told from the voice of a missing child, lost in the system, forgotten in a drawer. It’s not pretty. It’s raw. And it makes you listen twice as hard. As Mark says:
“It’s a plea for closure, stuck in limbo between life and death.”
This track is the first taste of their upcoming sophomore album Harbinger , due this fall via CDN Records . Think Slayer meets Whiplash , but with synths, atmosphere, and lyrics that don’t just scream, they whisper, too. It’s cinematic thrash, built for the pit and the headphones alike.
The band: Mark on guitar/vocals/synth, Rich Nieves on bass, and Tyler Bogliole behind the drums are carrying the torch of old-school East Coast thrash, but they’re not afraid to add some modern dread and synth-laced tension. The result? Songs that stick in your head and haunt your dreams.
If you haven’t heard them yet, start with “Frozen File” :
And if you want to pre-order Harbinger , now’s your chance:
I’ve been listening to this track since it came out, and I still get chills every time. It’s not just metal, it’s a message. And in a world full of noise, that kind of honesty doesn’t come around often.
So go hear the cry. Go remember what it means to care. And maybe… just maybe, turn up the volume until the walls shake.
