Alright, metalheads, let me be the first to tell you: Let There Be Sin by Eternal Returns is one of those albums that doesn’t just hit you in the chest. It slams you into a wall, drags you through seven sins, and leaves you breathless with riffs, lyrics and visuals that mean business.

Since 2010, this Mumbai-based death/thrash unit has been doing their thing: raw, intense, and full of soul. Their new album? A concept record built around the Seven Deadly Sins. Yep, they took the old-school Catholic list and made it sound like something out of a metal apocalypse. Each track is named after one sin, from Sloth to Emasculator , and let me tell you, there's no holding back.

The artwork alone is worth talking about. Designed by the brilliant @fajar_rahadian_artwork , it’s packed with symbols: a crown for pride, a pig head for gluttony, a nuclear sign for wrath… and at the center, a diamond surrounded by a serpent. That’s not just an image. That’s a statement.

What I love most is how Eternal Returns blends the aggression of thrash with the melody of death metal. You can feel the groove in every riff, but also the weight of each word. These aren’t just songs, they’re stories. Dark, deep, and dripping with meaning.

So yeah, if you're into your metal with some teeth and some thought, give this one a spin. September 5, 2025: get ready to face the sins within.

P.S. I’ve been listening to Wrath on repeat. Yeah, it’s that good.
