Cultic - "Lore"

Upcoming Release: Cultic

Cultic Ride a Chopper Through a Haunted Castle – And We’re All Along for the Ride

Out of Yoe, Pennsylvania, not the kind of town you visit for the scenic views, but the kind where the air tastes like chain oil, old battle scars, and something ancient, emerges Cultic, and their upcoming third album Lore, due October 3rd, 2025 via Eleventh Key Records. Pre-orders are live, the first single’s out, and let’s be real: Dungeon Metal wasn’t on your radar until these three started building a whole damn fortress around it.

Forget lazy genre tags. Cultic’s sound is a collision: the glacial weight of Winter, the primal snarl of early Celtic Frost, the raw kick of hardcore punk, and eerie dungeon synth interludes that feel like wandering a cursed keep at 3 a.m. Lore isn’t just their next record: it’s the final chapter in a trilogy, both musically and visually. The cover art completes a triptych stretching back to their earlier releases, a cursed lineage rendered in steel and shadow.

“Nomad,” the opening track premiered via Decibel Magazine, sets the scene: a lone warrior, forgotten ruins, dragons stirring beneath the earth. But don’t file this under “fantasy cosplay.” As guitarist Brian Magar puts it: “Lore weaves mythic storytelling and street-level horror into our sound. Sonically, it’s like driving a chopper through a haunted castle.” Poetry? Maybe. A perfect description of their riff-loaded, smoke-choked aesthetic? Definitely.

Andrew Harris isn’t here to debate semantics: “Dungeon Metal is starting to become a thing. This record serves as notice that we are the warden, the parole board, the guards, the walls and the bars.” Confidence? Earned. When your riffs carry this much weight, you don’t ask for entry, you break it down.

And Rebecca Magar sums it up best: shorter songs, no filler, all killer. Lore isn’t some bloated epic ; it’s a lean, leather-clad assault where every note feels forged in the same underground fire.

They’re hitting the road this month with Conan and Royal Thunder, the perfect chance to feel Lore’s dark pulse before its October arrival.

So yeah, the album isn’t out yet. But the spell’s already cast.
