Garden of Stone - "Silence Falters"

What's New: Garden of Stone

FINLAND JUST DROPPED A MOOD.

Garden of Stone didn’t just release a new single: they lobbed a Molotov cocktail wrapped in velvet. “Silence Falters” is here, and yeah, Jesse Salo looks like he hasn’t slept since Helsinki’s last blizzard. Screaming? Obviously. But it’s the kind of screaming that makes sense when the guitars are this heavy and the melodies this haunting.

Formed in 2023 like some kind of Nordic thunderstorm, this crew ; Jere and Ville on guitars, Kalle holding down the bass trenches, Tapio hammering the kit, and Jesse howling like a man who just read his own horoscope already dropped a killer debut album (The Grave Mistake, 2025) and now they’re back with track one from LP #2 (due 2026, mark your calendars with ash).

What’s it sound like? Imagine if Katatonia and early In Flames had a late-night sauna session with a bottle of vodka and a Marshall stack. Melancholic? Check. Heavy as a frozen moose? Double check. Face-melting riffs? Oh, absolutely but they’re draped in atmosphere thick enough to choke on.

The video’s raw, the performance’s ragged in the best way, and the song? It doesn’t just falter, it shatters. Then rebuilds. Then shatters again. No gimmicks, no posturing. Just five Finns doing what they do: turning sorrow into six-string artillery.

Stream it. Watch it. Let it sit in your bones for a while. Then go tell your friends this isn’t just another metal band, it’s the sound of winter remembering how to roar.
