Revengin: Symphonic Metal with Teeth

Straight outta Rio, Revengin have been stirring the cauldron of Symphonic Metal since 2008. No elves, no dragons: just heavy riffs, cinematic moods, and a flair for the dramatic that doesn’t tip into cheese. Think Nightwish with a darker edge, or Epica if they grew up on Sepultura.
Their debut EP “Synergy Through The Ashes” dropped back in 2009, when streaming was still a novelty in Brazil. Physical-only, rare as hell now, but it made noise. Then came “Cymatics” in 2011, a concept album about sound waves (yep, actual cymatics), which took them across Europe and into the ears of fans from Poland to Germany.
Fast forward to now: Revengin signed with Wormhole Death Records for their second full-length, “Dark Dogma Embrace”, released April 11, 2025. And they’re not pulling punches. The single “Circle of Mistakes” is a moody anthem of self-confrontation, with Bruna Rocha’s vocals dancing between ethereal and gut-punch.
Then came “Decadent Feeling”, a cinematic dive into heartbreak and platonic disillusion. Shot in Rio, it’s part one of a visual diptych that’ll wrap in São Paulo’s Viking Village (yes, that’s a real place). And “Wish You The Same But Worse”? A melancholic burner that sounds like someone lit a match under Lacuna Coil’s darker side.
Revengin aren’t reinventing the wheel, they’re just making it spin harder. Their sound is tighter, darker, and more personal than ever. No filler, no formula. Just a band that’s finally found its voice, and it’s not whispering.
