What's New: The Fixer
The Fixer’s "It Will End Tonight": A Breakup Anthem for the Mosh Pit Generation
Canadian misfits The Fixer just dropped "It Will End Tonight", a single that hits like a last-call whiskey shot after a bad relationship. And just like that shot, it burns just right.
Fresh off their 2023 debut Your Lie (a record that sounded like Alexisonfire and Type O Negative having a back-alley brawl), this new track is pure hardcore catharsis: equal parts screamo rage, industrial grit, and gothic melodrama. Written as a live closer, it’s already a fan favorite, and for good reason: it’s the kind of song that makes you want to either stage-dive or cry in the bathroom. (Ideally both.)
Lyrically? "The moment you realize holding on is worse than letting go." No poetry, no metaphors, just raw, ugly truth. "We write from the heart, even when it’s bleeding," the band says. And yeah, you feel it.
Melladonna’s vocals swing between a snarl and a croon, while the riffs land like Rammstein playing a punk house show.
The cherry on top? They’re taking this mess on the road, the "Ugly Knots Tour" with Teknosis, another Thunder Bay wrecking crew. 19 dates, 5 provinces, and a Halloween finale in their hometown (because nothing says "spooky season" like a downtown metal festival). Expect new cuts, deep cuts, and probably some questionable life choices by the end of the night.
Teknosis: The Perfect Tour Partners (Because Chaos Loves Company)
If The Fixer is the moody, gothic cousin of the tour, Teknosis is the one who shows up with a sledgehammer. Their 2024 EP Return to Civilization is groove-metal meets hardcore, like Lamb of God and Hatebreed arm-wrestling in a collapsing society. "We believe in live amps and zero mercy," says bassist Travis Doggett. And it shows.
Their set? A seamless, sample-stitched barrage: think Pantera’s groove, Converge’s chaos, and a dash of dystopian paranoia. They’re road-testing new material too, so consider this tour a sneak peek at the apocalypse.
The Verdict?
"It Will End Tonight" isn’t reinventing metal. It’s reminding you why you fell in love with it in the first place: loud, messy, and alive. And if you miss this tour, well… you’ll have plenty of time to regret it.

(P.S. If you see them in Montreal, buy Melladonna a shot. She’s earned it.)
