Green Eyes of Darkness - "Fire Waves"

Upcoming Release:

GREEN EYES OF DARKNESS - "FIRE WAVES": AN 80-MINUTE DESCENT INTO DOOM, GOTHIC GRANDEUR… AND, WELL, ROMANIA’S METAL SOUL ON FIRE

Watch the Teaser

Green Eyes of Darkness is about to drop something… monumental. "Fire Waves" is a pilgrimage: 13 tracks, 80 minutes, and a lifetime of Romanian underground spirit distilled into one colossal, slow-burning ritual. This thing feels less like it was recorded and more like it was unearthed, like someone cracked open a hidden vault in Bucharest and let the ghosts of the '90s metal scene spill out.

Dragoș Grigorescu (Abigail, Hovercraft) and Cătălin "Flamă" Scânteie (Abigail, Rising Shadow) dug up old songs, some never released, some played live once and lost to time, some trapped in half-finished demos and breathed new life into them. And with Georgiana Bogdana Stoian's voice haunting every note like a specter refusing to leave, plus those organs and flutes weaving through the crush of guitars… honestly, there's a moment in the teaser where the whole thing swells and then just stops, and I had to check if my speakers were still working.

This isn't your typical doom. It's heavier, slower, but also weirdly majestic, like if My Dying Bride and Therion got lost in Transylvania and wrote a requiem for the end of days. The symbolism's thick: fire and water, creation and destruction, but it's not just for show. "Fire Waves" means something. It's the kind of album that doesn't just play in the background; it lingers, like smoke in your lungs or a question you can't answer at 3 AM.

December 22nd, via Loud Rage Music. Pre-orders are open because some albums don't just ask for your attention. They demand it. And this one? It's coming for your soul.
