Alright, so Risen Crow, Rome’s own power-metal-meets-gothic-darkness hybrid, have this music video for the title track “Risen Crow”, taken from their debut album Requiem For a Damned Love. It’s been out for a while, sure, but honestly? It still hits ridiculously hard. Like someone blended Nightwish’s grandeur with Lacuna Coil’s moody bite and threw in a bit of old-school Italian metal drama just because… why the hell not.

Ok, donc Risen Crow, ce croisement romain entre power metal héroïque et ténèbres gothiques, a sorti un clip pour le titre éponyme « Risen Crow », tiré de leur premier album *Requiem For a Damned Love*. Oui, ça date un peu… mais bordel, ça frappe toujours aussi fort. Comme si Nightwish, Lacuna Coil et un vieux drame metal italien s’étaient embrassés dans une crypte, juste pour le frisson.

And no, this isn’t your standard shiny power metal. This is power metal with shadows, with claws, with that slightly haunted vibe that makes you wanna light a candle or two and stare out a castle window like something tragic is about to happen.

Et non, ce n’est pas du power metal classique, luisant et propre. C’est du power metal avec des ombres, des griffes, une aura hantée qui te donne envie d’allumer des cierges et de fixer par la fenêtre d’un château en attendant que le malheur tombe. Comme il se doit.

The band, formed in 2020 by Claudio Vattone, Antonella Della Monica (vocals), and Giuseppe Longo (guitar), don't just play songs. They build worlds. Their sound is this strange, beautiful hybrid: galloping power-metal riffs wrapped in a thick gothic atmosphere, kinda like a storm creeping slowly over some forgotten medieval battlefield.

Le groupe, fondé en 2020 par Claudio Vattone, Antonella Della Monica (voix) et Giuseppe Longo (guitare), ne se contente pas de jouer des morceaux : il construit des mondes. Leur son ? Un hybride étrange et magnifique : des riffs de power metal au galop, noyés dans une atmosphère gothique si dense qu’on croirait un orage rampant sur un champ de bataille médiéval oublié.

Their debut album, released back in February 2025 via Rockshots Records, already spawned three music videos: “Believe in Me,” “Black Widow,” and of course this one, the title track, which might be the most cinematic of the bunch.

Then dive into the album and let Antonella's voice and those shadow-drenched riffs pull you straight into their world. You might stay longer than planned... not my fault.
