Benefactor Decease have been around since 2007, forged by old-school thrash addicts who clearly never learned how to slow down. Or didn’t want to. Which is better. Guitars sharp, bass grinding, vocals nasty as hell. Proper underground DNA. The kind that smells like dust, beer, and reheated amps.

Benefactor Decease existe depuis 2007, forgé par des accros du thrash old-school qui n’ont clairement jamais appris à ralentir. Ou qui ne voulaient pas. Ce qui est mieux. Guitares tranchantes, basse grinçante, voix dégueulasse comme l’enfer. Un ADN underground correct. Le genre qui sent la poussière, la bière et les amplis réchauffés.

They started rough. Demos, EPs, splits, lineup shifts, life punching back hard. You know the story. Bands disappear. Bands come back. Sometimes angrier. Sometimes heavier. In this case? Both. After disbanding, reactivating, reshuffling (a lot), they finally dropped “Abnormal Attachments” in 2025 via Xtreem Music. Same label that knows how to keep things raw, not pretty. Artwork by Andrei Buzikov again, because when something works, don’t fuck with it.

Ils ont commencé rudement. Démos, EPs, splits, changements de ligne, la vie qui riposte fort. Vous connaissez l’histoire. Les groupes disparaissent. Les groupes reviennent. Parfois plus en colère. Parfois plus lourds. Dans ce cas ? Les deux. Après s’être séparés, réactivés, mélangés (beaucoup), ils ont enfin sorti "Abnormal Attachments" en 2025 via Xtreem Music. Même label qui sait garder les choses brutes, pas jolies. Graphisme par Andrei Buzikov encore, parce que quand quelque chose fonctionne, ne le cassez pas.

Musically it’s straight-up thrash metal with teeth. Old-school attitude, no trendy edges, no fake polish. Riffs cut. Drums stomp. Vocals spit. There’s history in this sound. Scars too. You can hear the years, the breaks, the frustration… and yeah maybe a bit of rage left unpaid.

Musicalement, c’est du thrash metal direct avec des dents. Attitude old-school, pas de bords tendances, pas de vernis factice. Les riffs taillent. La batterie piétine. Les voix crachent. Il y a de l’histoire dans ce son. Des cicatrices aussi. On entend les années, les pauses, la frustration… et ouais peut-être un peu de rage non réglée.

Quick side thought: I’ve heard a lot of “old-school thrash revival” lately. Most of it forgettable. This isn’t. This feels lived-in. Like these guys earned the noise.

Petite pensée latérale : J’ai entendu beaucoup de "revival du thrash old-school" récemment. La plupart est oubliable. Pas celle-ci. Ça semble vécu. Comme si ces gars avaient mérité le bruit.
