VERONA'S GOT SOMETHING LOUD TO SAY

There's some big sports event happening in Italy right now but honestly who cares because there's also this three-piece from Verona called To The Max! and they're about to drop their second album. Self-titled. March 13th. First single "Who" just landed February 13th and it's... yeah ok this riff is making me forget what I was supposed to write next. Alessandro Marchi on drums and vocals, Nicola Marchi on guitar and vocals, Mattia Fraccaroli on bass, these guys have been through thrash bands, black metal projects, sleaze rock, tribute acts, the whole circuit.
Il y a de grands événements sportifs en Italie en ce moment, mais honnêtement, on s'en fiche car il y a aussi ce trio de Vérone appelé To The Max! qui s'apprête à sortir son deuxième album. Éponyme. Sortie le 13 mars. Le premier single « Who » vient de débarquer le 13 février et... ok, ce riff me fait oublier ce que je devais écrire ensuite. Alessandro Marchi à la batterie et au chant, Nicola Marchi à la guitare et au chant, Mattia Fraccaroli à la basse, ces gars sont passés par le thrash, le black metal, le sleaze rock et les groupes de reprises. Tout le circuit.
Mid-2020, lockdown, no shows, they said screw it and formed this thing with one rule: write what we want, no compromise. Heavy rock with different moods but one clear sound running through everything. Less than a year later they were already playing live in 2021 with nothing but a five-track home demo. Then "Midnight Tea" dropped in 2024, fully self-produced, and they just kept moving: clubs, mini-tours across Italy and Europe, festivals with Elvenking, Hell In The Club, White Skull. Mi-2020, confinement, pas de concerts : ils ont tout envoyé balader pour former ce groupe avec une seule règle : écrire ce qu'on veut, sans compromis. Un Heavy Rock aux ambiances variées mais avec un son clair et cohérent. Moins d'un an plus tard, en 2021, ils étaient déjà sur scène avec une simple démo maison de cinq titres. Puis « Midnight Tea » est sorti en 2024, entièrement auto-produit, et ils n'ont plus arrêté : clubs, mini-tournées en Italie et en Europe, festivals avec Elvenking, Hell In The Club, White Skull.
Madrid, Málaga, Vienna, all over. Second album "Two The Max!" coming via Go Down Records. New material was already done right after the first record. That's how you know they're not overthinking it they're just doing it. If this is where Italian heavy rock is heading we might actually be okay. Ready for the blast? March 13th is the date.
Madrid, Málaga, Vienne, partout. Le deuxième album « Two The Max! » arrive via Go Down Records. Le nouveau matériel était déjà prêt juste après le premier disque. C'est comme ça qu'on sait qu'ils ne se posent pas de questions, ils agissent. Si c'est vers là que se dirige le heavy rock italien, alors tout va bien. Prêt pour l'impact ? Rendez-vous le 13 mars.
