DEATH METAL VENU DE LYON ET DU QUÉBEC
Honestly, the story behind Dépérir is the kind of chaos that gives metal its character. They started in Lyon back in 2011, then they uprooted the whole operation to Quebec. It hasn't been a smooth ride: they've survived major lineup shifts, including when founding drummer Sorthei had to step aside for his career as an airline pilot.
Honnêtement, l'histoire derrière Dépérir est le genre de chaos qui donne son caractère au metal. Ils ont commencé à Lyon en 2011, puis ils ont déraciné toute l'opération au Québec. Ce ne fut pas un long fleuve tranquille : ils ont survécu à des changements majeurs de line-up, notamment lorsque le batteur fondateur Sorthei a dû s'écarter pour sa carrière de pilote de ligne.

Now, they're back with a new EP, WAR, dropping May 20, 2026, on Adipocere Records. They aren't pulling punches: the single "Blood Spill" was actually age-restricted on YouTube because the gore was deemed too intense. You've got four tracks to tear through: "Blood Spill," "Cold War," "Payback," and "CCCP".
