Rexoria just played a massive card for their upcoming album, "Fallen Dimension" (dropping May 8th via Black Lodge Records). The Swedish outfit has released "Heart of Sorrow," a sweeping power ballad that doesn't hold back, especially with the legendary Johnny Gioeli (Axel Rudi Pell / Hardline) joining the fray for a duet.

Le groupe suédois a dévoilé « Heart of Sorrow », une power ballad démesurée qui ne fait pas dans la dentelle, surtout avec le légendaire Johnny Gioeli (Axel Rudi Pell / Hardline) qui rejoint la mêlée pour un duo.

Let's be honest: power ballads are often a hit-or-miss gamble, but it's the vocal chemistry here that makes it work. Gioeli's signature raspy, gritty power provides a perfect anchor for Frida's soaring, crystal-clear delivery. This isn't just a "name-drop" guest spot; it's a genuine vocal dialogue backed by epic production and a cinematic video that proves the band is seriously leveling up.

Le grain rocailleux et puissant de Gioeli ancre parfaitement la voix claire et planante de Frida. Ce n’est pas qu’un simple « featuring » ; c’est un véritable dialogue vocal soutenu par une production épique et un clip cinématographique qui prouve que le groupe monte sérieusement en puissance.

The track actually serves as the grand finale to the new record, following ten other tracks that promise plenty of fire, including another collaboration with Mike Andersson of Tungsten.

What really works for me is the sheer, unapologetic scale of it. This is pure melodic metal, the kind that isn't afraid of massive choruses and high drama. If the rest of the album carries the same weight as this closer with Gioeli, we're looking at one of the standout melodic releases of the year. They've found that sweet spot between heavy grit and soaring melody without it ever feeling forced. \m/ Ce qui fonctionne vraiment pour moi, c’est l’ampleur totalement assumée du morceau. C’est du metal mélodique pur, de celui qui n’a pas peur des refrains massifs et du drame. Si le reste de l’album a le même poids que cette conclusion avec Gioeli, on tient l’une des sorties mélodiques de l’année. Ils ont trouvé ce point d’équilibre entre le grain lourd et la mélodie planante sans que cela paraisse forcé. \m/
