Let's talk about THE DISCORD. You know how it goes: usually, when a band loses its frontman, that's it, the end of the road. But the guys from Laval, formerly of Fat Dead Shit, didn't just walk away. They pivoted, locked in as a power trio, and honestly? That shift gave them a completely different kind of bite.
Parlons de THE DISCORD. Vous savez comment ça se passe : d'habitude, quand un groupe perd son chanteur, c'est la fin du chemin. Mais les gars de Laval, ex-membres de Fat Dead Shit, n'ont pas simplement abandonné. Ils ont changé de cap, se sont verrouillés en power trio, et honnêtement ? Ce virage leur a donné un tout autre mordant.
What I love about this group is that they aren't trying to fit into a sterile "Modern Metal" box. It's got that raw, lived-in feel. It's heavy, yeah, but there's this raw, punk-infused Rock 'n' Roll swagger running through it that keeps it from sounding like everything else on the playlist. You can tell they've been grinding since they hit the Hellfest stage back in 2022 ; they've got that "road-tested" confidence.
Ce que j'aime chez ce groupe, c'est qu'ils n'essaient pas de rentrer dans une case « Modern Metal » stérile. Il y a ce côté brut et vécu. C'est lourd, oui, mais il y a cette nonchalance rock 'n' roll brute, infusée de punk, qui les empêche de ressembler à tout le reste de la playlist. On sent qu'ils tournent depuis qu'ils ont foulé la scène du Hellfest en 2022 ; ils ont cette confiance « rodée par la route ».
I gave "Shooting Blood From My Eyes" a spin, and it's a perfect microcosm of what they do: it's chaotic, varied, and it doesn't waste a second of your time. They know exactly when to drag you down into a heavy, sludge-filled intro and when to just let the punk-hardcore riffs rip.
J'ai écouté « Shooting Blood From My Eyes », et c'est un microcosme parfait de ce qu'ils font : c'est chaotique, varié, et ça ne perd pas une seconde de votre temps. Ils savent exactement quand vous entraîner dans une intro lourde et boueuse et quand laisser les riffs punk-hardcore déchirer tout.
They've got a new album was dropped on April 3, 2026, and apparently, they're dialing up the darkness and the defiance even more. It's not just a collection of songs; it sounds like they're using this record to vent some serious frustration. If you need a soundtrack for when you're absolutely fed up with everything, this is it. It's pissed off, it's loud, and they clearly don't care about being "radio-friendly."
Ils ont sorti un nouvel album le 3 avril 2026, et apparemment, ils poussent encore plus loin l'obscurité et la provocation. Ce n'est pas juste une collection de chansons ; on dirait qu'ils utilisent ce disque pour évacuer une frustration sérieuse. Si vous avez besoin d'une bande-son quand vous en avez vraiment ras-le-bol de tout, c'est celle-là. C'est vénère, c'est fort, et ils se moquent clairement d'être « radiophoniques ».
