Knoxville's NinjaWitch are back with a five-track thing called Frequency of Gods. It dropped last September (September 12, 2025, if you care about the exact date) and honestly, the main thing you need to know is that it just sounds incredibly heavy and loud.

They put out a debut called Order of the Red Horse in 2024, but this new EP feels completely different. Danielle Fehr recorded and mixed the whole mess at The Wizard Productions, and she basically just let the distortion redline. There's a track called "Star Ghost" streaming everywhere right now that feels like getting buried under ten tons of wet sand. John Springer's bass is just obnoxious, and Brandon Clark hits his drums like they owe him money. It's great.

La basse de John Springer est carrément agressive, et Brandon Clark frappe sa batterie comme si elle lui devait de l'argent. C'est génial.

You can definitely tell Haley Clark and Herb Himes spend all their time listening to old Hawkwind, Monster Magnet, and Black Sabbath records. The riffs just sort of drag you down. Then Nathan Wright comes in with these weirdly commanding vocals over the top, shouting through the noise. It's pretty messy, but the energy is right there.
On voit bien que Haley Clark et Herb Himes passent tout leur temps à écouter de vieux disques de Hawkwind, Monster Magnet et Black Sabbath. Les riffs vous entraînent vers le bas. Puis Nathan Wright arrive avec ces vocaux étrangement autoritaires par‑dessus, hurlant à travers le bruit. C'est assez bordélique, mais l'énergie est là.
They also played the Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Fest not long ago. Go watch that, or just head to their Bandcamp and grab the digital files if you need your ears to ring for a few days.
