LANDING - HARDCORE ROCK CHILIEN SANS COMPROMIS

It's been a minute since we heard from Chile's Racimo, and to be honest, their last "floaty" trip back in 2022 left me a bit hungry for something more. But with Landing, they've finally stopped drifting. This record smells like a harsh reality check, the kind of sound that reminds you the world is burning while we're all looking the other way.
Cela fait un moment qu'on n'avait pas entendu parler des Chiliens de Racimo, et pour être honnête, leur dernier trip « planant » de 2022 m'avait laissé un peu sur ma faim. Mais avec Landing, ils ont enfin cessé de dériver. Ce disque sent le réveil brutal, le genre de son qui vous rappelle que le monde brûle pendant que nous regardons tous ailleurs.
The track "Sobrevivir" isn't just filler. Rodrigo Sandoval digs into a near-death experience here, and you can absolutely hear it. There are no fancy frills, just the raw urgency of someone who stared into the abyss and came back with a frightening will to live. We're miles away from polite rock; this is thick, gritty, and you can feel the band's twenty years of mileage in every single pick slide.
Le morceau « Sobrevivir » n'est pas qu'un remplissage. Rodrigo Sandoval y creuse une expérience de mort imminente, et on l'entend absolument. Pas de fioritures, juste l'urgence brute de quelqu'un qui a regardé l'abîme dans les yeux et en est revenu avec une volonté de vivre effrayante. On est à des années‑lumière du rock poli ; c'est épais, rugueux, et on ressent les vingt ans de route du groupe dans chaque slide.
My personal highlight has to be "Luca Brasi". I don't know if it's the Godfather nod or just the riff that punches you in the mouth, but it works. You can tell that hitting AST Studios with Nicolás Arce paid off: the sound is massive without being suffocated by over-polishing. It's rock and roll with dirty hands, and it doesn't apologize for it.
Mon moment préféré est sans conteste « Luca Brasi ». Je ne sais pas si c'est le clin d'œil au Parrain ou simplement le riff qui vous met une droite, mais ça marche. On sent que passer par les AST Studios avec Nicolás Arce a porté ses fruits : le son est massif sans être étouffé par un surpolissage. C'est du rock and roll aux mains sales, et il ne s'excuse pas.
If you're fed up with bands faking their way through "tortured" lyrics, give these guys a listen. It's honest, it's heavy, and it brings you right back down to earth.
Si vous en avez marre des groupes qui simulent des paroles « torturées », jetez une oreille à ces gars. C'est honnête, c'est lourd, et ça vous ramène les pieds sur terre.
