I've heard a million bands say "this album was necessary, not planned." Usually I roll my eyes. But these guys? Mid-2025, something shifted. They stopped wanting to make music and started needing to. Each carrying personal battles. You can feel it.
J'ai entendu des millions de groupes dire « cet album était nécessaire, pas planifié ». D'habitude, je lève les yeux au ciel. Mais ces gars ? Mi‑2025, quelque chose a changé. Ils ont cessé de vouloir faire de la musique et ont commencé à en avoir besoin. Chacun portant ses combats personnels. Ça se sent.
Ten songs in three months. Barely touched afterward. No perfection, just honesty.
Dix chansons en trois mois. À peine retouchées après. Pas de perfection, juste de l'honnêteté.
The tracks navigate that chaos/melody tension, anxiety and hope rising and falling, sometimes in the same damn riff. Underoath, Architects, Defeater, Norma Jean, Counterparts, The Ghost Inside. Yeah, that tracks. But they're not just ripping those bands off. There's something rawer here. Less polished. Almost hesitant in places, which I weirdly like.
Les morceaux naviguent cette tension chaos/mélodie, anxiété et espoir qui montent et descendent, parfois dans le même putain de riff. Underoath, Architects, Defeater, Norma Jean, Counterparts, The Ghost Inside. Oui, ça s'entend. Mais ils ne se contentent pas de copier ces groupes. Il y a quelque chose de plus brut ici. Moins poli. Presque hésitant par endroits, ce que j'aime étrangement.
"Every crack, every wound, every imperfection can let the light through." Corny on paper. But the music backs it up.
« Chaque fissure, chaque blessure, chaque imperfection peut laisser passer la lumière ». C'est cucul sur le papier. Mais la musique le soutient.
First single? Heavy. Second one shifts into something almost fragile. Third brings it back. Not sure the sequencing works yet, I'd have to hear the full record. But the feeling is consistent. Loss of meaning, isolation, inner conflict. But never whiny. Just... honest.
Premier single ? Lourd. Le second bascule vers quelque chose de presque fragile. Le troisième revient. Je ne suis pas sûr que l'enchaînement fonctionne, il faudrait que j'entende l'album complet. Mais le sentiment est constant. Perte de sens, isolement, conflit intérieur. Jamais pleurnichard. Juste… honnête.
Anyway. May 24th. Keep an eye on these guys.
Bref. 24 mai. Gardez un œil sur ces gars.
