DENIM PATCHES AND THE TWENTY-YEAR GAP

I'm still just going over the timeline from the press release. The text says the band was founded in 2025 by dr. sundström and iledelay. But then it drops this massive historical detail: back in the early 2000s, this exact same group of friends put out three full-length albums and toured all over Finland before completely disbanding around 2005.

Mais il révèle ensuite ce détail historique massif : au début des années 2000, ce même groupe d'amis a sorti trois albums et tourné dans toute la Finlande avant de se séparer complètement vers 2005.

2005. That is over twenty years ago. I keep looking at the names Janne and Pete in the lineup. They played the biggest Finnish festivals of that era, did the TV appearances, got the radio airplay, and then just stopped for two decades. It's a bizarre gap. The text says it took "a couple of big coincidences" in the summer of 2025 to get them back into a room together.

2005. C'était il y a plus de vingt ans. Je n'arrête pas de regarder les noms de Janne et Pete dans la formation. Ils ont joué dans les plus grands festivals finlandais de cette époque, fait des apparitions à la télé, passé à la radio, puis se sont arrêtés pendant deux décennies. Un fossé bizarre. Le texte dit qu'il a fallu « deux grandes coïncidences » à l'été 2025 pour les réunir dans la même pièce.

The whole reason they restarted is because the core duo started obsessing over the denim jacket patches of their youth. Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Dio, Helloween, Scorpions. The text literally says "Metal was, and still is, the answer." It's funny because in 2010, dr. sundström and iledelay put out a Finnish-language album with a totally different lineup that got some TV attention. Vocalists and drummers kept changing for years while they experimented with different styles.

C'est amusant parce qu'en 2010, dr. sundström et iledelay ont sorti un album en finnois avec une formation totalement différente qui a attiré l'attention de la télé. Les chanteurs et batteurs n'ont cessé de changer pendant des années tandis qu'ils expérimentaient différents styles.

Now they're back to raw heavy metal, independently recording and mixing material since the fall of 2025. The promo promises "catchy songs built on a strong foundation." I don't even know. I'm just picturing four guys in Helsinki who haven't made a metal record together since 2005 staring at a Black Sabbath patch and plugging the guitars back in.

Maintenant, ils reviennent au heavy metal brut, enregistrant et mixant eux-mêmes depuis l'automne 2025. Le texte promet des « chansons accrocheuses construites sur une base solide ». Je ne sais pas trop. Je m'imagine juste quatre gars à Helsinki qui n'ont pas fait de metal ensemble depuis 2005, regardant un patch de Black Sabbath et rebranchant les guitares.
