Belfast extreme metal outfit Indominus have dropped their new single "Black Lake," out now ahead of their upcoming appearance at Dublin's In the Pit Festival on September 19th, 2026. When a deathcore band explicitly states they're pissed off, you expect that energy to translate directly into the sound; and "Black Lake" doesn't mess around. The Northern Irish four‑piece merge heavy deathcore down‑tuning with the relentless drive of death metal, building a track around heavy breakdowns and zero fluff.

Rather than relying purely on speed, "Black Lake" shifts its focus toward pure weight. The rhythm section lays down a thick, heavy bottom end while the guitar work balances sharp, groove‑heavy riffing with dissonant, ring‑out chords. Produced, mixed, and mastered at JSR Audio, the track leaves plenty of punch for the low‑end: the guttural vocals stay right upfront, anchored by a kick drum that cuts cleanly through the bass frequency instead of turning into a digital blur. It's an aggressive, stripped‑back single that hits hard and knows when to crush the tempo. Indominus keep their deathcore dark, heavy, and built strictly for the mosh pit.
