BRAZILIAN DEATH METAL VETERANS CELEBRATE 30 YEARS WITH A LEAN, DIRECT SINGLE AHEAD OF THEIR FOURTEENTH ALBUM
Brazilian death metal veterans NervoChaos are celebrating 30 uninterrupted years of activity as they prepare to release their fourteenth studio album, Chaosmongers, on November 13th via Black Lion Records. Ahead of their Latin American tour alongside Bloodbath starting, the band have released their new single "Embrace Chaos." When a veteran band hits the three‑decade mark and preaches about cosmic chaos and transformative journeys, there's always a slight fear of getting a recycled, paint‑by‑numbers death metal track. But "Embrace Chaos" avoids feeling like an aging act going through the motions. Produced by drummer/vocalist Edu Lane and mixed by Fredrik Nordström, the recording carries a thick, punchy sound that keeps the low end heavy without smothering the guitar work.

Quand un groupe vétéran atteint la barre des trois décennies et prêche sur le chaos cosmique et les voyages transformateurs, on craint toujours un peu de se retrouver avec un morceau de death metal recyclé et standardisé. Mais « Embrace Chaos » évite de donner l'impression d'un groupe vieillissant qui tourne en rond. Produit par le batteur/chanteur Edu Lane et mixé par Fredrik Nordström, l'enregistrement offre un son épais et percutant qui garde les graves lourds sans étouffer le travail de guitare.

I was honestly expecting the heavy thrash influences to make the track feel a bit too familiar or dated, but the momentum holds up really well. Instead of hiding behind endless blast beats or over‑calculated technicality, the song relies on direct riffs that get straight to the point. Guiller Cruz's guitar work carries a traditional death metal feel without falling into cheap retro nostalgia, keeping enough rhythm variation across its runtime to stay engaging. It's a lean, direct single that shows thirty years of mileage hasn't dulled their bite.
Je m'attendais honnêtement à ce que les lourdes influences thrash rendent le morceau un peu trop familier ou daté, mais l'élan tient très bien. Au lieu de se cacher derrière des blast beats sans fin ou une technicité trop calculée, la chanson s'appuie sur des riffs directs qui vont droit au but. Le jeu de guitare de Guiller Cruz a une touche death metal traditionnelle sans tomber dans la nostalgie rétro bon marché, gardant suffisamment de variations rythmiques pour rester captivant. C'est un single concis et direct qui montre que trente ans de route n'ont pas émoussé leur morsure.
