INTERNATIONAL PROG COLLECTIVE OPENS ITS CONCEPT ALBUM "THE 7 DEADLY SINS" WITH AN EIGHT‑MINUTE CINEMATIC PIECE
Released on October 16, 2026, via OOB Records, The 7 Deadly Sins is the debut concept album from international progressive rock/metal collective Ashes Of The Righteous. Written and produced by Peter Lazar over a three‑year period, the record explores human vice track by track, beginning with its eight‑minute opening piece, "Greed." Musically, "Greed" avoids traditional verse‑chorus structures in favor of fluid, episodic movement. Heavy metal riffs and Alen Brentini’s guitar leads cut through dense, orchestral synth layers arranged by Swedish keyboardist Johan Chasseur, giving the song a distinctly cinematic quality.

Rather than relying on a standard bass guitar, Don Schiff utilizes the ten‑string NS/Stick. Its percussive, tapped low‑end creates a distinct counterpoint to Chus Gancedo’s precise drumming, helping drive the track’s shifting dynamics. Vocalist Mark "Truey" Trueack (United Progressive Fraternity, Unitopia) carries the narrative. Trueack approaches the theme of greed with a theatrical delivery, giving the lyrics a dramatic edge without turning the song into a straightforward moral lesson.
Plutôt que de s’appuyer sur une basse standard, Don Schiff utilise le NS/Stick à dix cordes. Son bas de gamme percutant et joué en tapping crée un contrepoint distinct à la batterie précise de Chus Gancedo, contribuant à porter les dynamiques changeantes du morceau.
