Hailing from Foggia in Italy's Apulia region, dark symphonic metal band Asphodelia is fronted by vocalist and keyboardist Samuela "Samah" Fuiani. Following their 2018 debut Welcome Apocalypse and extensive European touring alongside acts like Sirenia and Leaves' Eyes, the quintet returns with their second full‑length album, Unfairy Tales, set for release on November 13, 2026, via Kraempus Records.

Inspired by the myth of Apollo and Daphne, the track reinterprets the story from the nymph's perspective, framing her transformation into a laurel tree not as a tragedy, but as an act of ultimate defiance and self‑determination: "Sometimes, survival means becoming something no one can ever possess."
