Single Spotlight: AYdRA - "Voices From Nowhere"
ITALIAN TECHNICAL DEATH METAL VETERANS CLOSE THE "LEAVE TO NOWHERE" CHAPTER WITH A STAR‑STUDDED SINGLE
Italian technical death metal veterans AydrA, originally formed in 1986 under the name Hydra before adopting their current moniker in 1993, return with a new narrative‑driven single, “Voices From Nowhere”, released on October 23, 2026, via Rude Awakening Records.

The track serves as the final chapter to their 2024 concept album Leave to Nowhere, which detailed the harrowing journey of an Eritrean migrant attempting to reach Europe, culminating in the protagonist digging his own grave. “Voices From Nowhere” acts as the haunting epilogue: the voice of what remains after the tragedy.
Written alongside primary lyricist Mauro Pacetti, the song features a notable guest line‑up from the Italian underground: Mick Montaguti (Electrocution) co‑wrote the lyrics and handles lead vocals, Tommy Talamanca (Sadist) provides the first guitar solo, and former AydrA lead guitarist Francesco Olivi (1992‑2007) returns after nearly two decades to deliver the second solo.
On the visual side, the release takes a more traditional artistic approach. The single artwork was hand‑painted with a palette knife by artist Luca Morici, who also illustrated the accompanying graphic novel version of Leave to Nowhere. Mastered by Paolo Ojetti (Infernal Poetry), the single arrives alongside an official playthrough video and a lyric video featuring Morici's ink plates.
