Album / Single Spotlight: STEFANIA SISTU - "In The Wind"
SARDINIAN SINGER‑SONGWRITER SHIFTS TOWARD A SOFTER, MORE INTROSPECTIVE REGISTER ON HER LATEST SINGLE
Hailing from Sardinia, Italian singer‑songwriter and vocal coach Stefania Sistu has developed a musical identity rooted in alternative and gothic metal. Following a string of heavier, energetic releases earlier in the year via Volcano Records, she shifts toward a much softer, more introspective register with her latest single, “In The Wind,” released on October 29, 2026.
"In The Wind" (Official Lyric Video)
Musically, the track marks a clear departure from her usual sound. Rather than relying on heavy guitar‑driven arrangements, “In The Wind” takes a more restrained approach, allowing its melodies and vocal harmonies to take center stage. The song relies less on volume than on the emotional delivery of Sistu's vocals, trading raw vocal power for a subtler, more layered performance that reveals a more fragile side of her voice.
Lyrically, the track tackles absence, memory, and the fear of being forgotten, exploring the desire to leave a lasting mark across time. Once again, the single is built on her ongoing artistic partnership with musician and composer Daniele Pireddu, who handles the instrumentation and musical arrangements.
“In The Wind” caps off a remarkably productive 2026 for the artist, following a series of conceptual singles that includes the folklore‑inspired Surbile, the reflective Passengers of a Timeless Place, and the emotional Illusion. With “In The Wind,” Stefania Sistu explores a quieter side of her musical identity, stepping away from her heavier material without completely abandoning her rock foundations.
