CLOUDY SKIES is a Dreamgaze Atmospheric Post-metal band formed in Paris, France in 2019. The band is led by Lionel and Nicolas, both of whom were previously in metal/hardcore band Ambryo (2000-2009) and blackened postmetal band Eyes Front North (2009-2019). The goal of this new project was to create a unique and captivating musical landscape, blending metal with other genres such as indierock, ambient, post rock, and alternative.

As their music is a reflection of their emotions, Lionel and Nicolas strived to infuse their sensitivity into their compositions. The past two years of Covid-19 and lockdown have provided inspiration for this direction. The band composed and recorded everything except for drums, which were performed by the talented Conny Pettersson (ANATA, ETERNAL LIES, TROJAN DOGS...) to create subtle, ethereal, groovy, and brutal drum parts. The band also paid close attention to sound quality and mixing, with mastering by Magnus Lindberg (CULT OF LUNA, GHOST, SWITCHBLADE, PG.LOST...) resulting in a clear, spacious, and massive audio experience.
