What' New:

UNDER ATTACK is a Swedish heavy/speed metal band founded initially as a side project by Björn Thorup and former Styggelse member Gustaf Sundin. What began as a fun hobby project soon evolved into a full-fledged band, with Björn as the sole member.

In 2018, Björn shared a few tracks with an old friend, Niklas Mattisson, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the band. As Björn and Niklas recorded a demo, they began searching for new members to complete the lineup. Shortly after, vocalist Lars Hietala joined as a permanent member, adding a powerful voice to the mix.

UNDER ATTACK has been hard at work writing and recording their first full-length album, "Fury of the Thunder God," featuring session drummer Martin Karlsson. With the mastering process completed, the band is now on the hunt for a permanent drummer and bass player to solidify their lineup.

As they prepare for their first live shows, UNDER ATTACK is already writing material for their second album, ensuring that their sonic assault will continue to resonate with heavy/speed metal fans worldwide. The album "Fury of the Thunder God" will be released on May 22, 2023, under the label Lake of Fire Productions and will include the tracks "Torture's too Kind," "Where the Axeman Laughs," "Burning Metal," "Dawn of Fire," "The Night of the Sniper," "Fury of the Thunder God," "Meatgrinder," "Stabbed with a Knife," "The Beast shall Rise," and "As Abaddon Strike." The recording lineup for the album includes Lars Hietala on vocals, Björn Thorup on guitars/bass/backing vocals, Niklas Mattisson on guitars/bass/backing vocals, and Martin Karlsson on drums.
