Alright, folks, let me tell you about Dreadstone, the heavy metal powerhouse straight outta Gdańsk! Born from a shared love for the raw, gritty sounds of '80s American metal, Dreadstone was forged in the fall of 2021. The lineup may have had its twists and turns early on, but the core trio of Jim Grabowski, Krzysztof Stencel, and Marcin Zdunek held it down, crafting a sound that's both nostalgic and refreshingly fierce.
By April 2023, these metal maestros hit the studio to lay down tracks for their debut album, "Złoty Wiek". Just when you thought they couldn't get any heavier, in steps Tomasz Aleksandrowicz on drums in February 2024, rounding out the lineup to perfection. With their full team assembled, they dropped their first album on April 5, 2024, heralded by the blazing single "Absurdella".
 
Now, let’s talk sound. Riffs that hit like a sledgehammer, vocals that roar with the fury of a thousand storms, and a rhythm section tighter than a pair of skinny jeans at a metal gig. “Golden Age” is a beast of a record, recorded and mixed by the band themselves, and polished to perfection by Chris Crerar at Metalworks Studios in Canada. The artwork? A stunning piece by Siergiej Kanarski that perfectly encapsulates the album’s raw energy.
