Siege Perilous - “Across the Rubicon”

Upcoming Release:

March to the Thunderous New Single “Across the Rubicon” from Fantasy Power Metal Band Siege Perilous

New EP “Creation’s Call” Out August 2024

Gather 'round and brace yourselves. Denver’s own Siege Perilous is about to drop a bombshell with their latest single, “Across the Rubicon”. This track, straight from their upcoming EP “Creation’s Call”, set to release on August 23, 2024, will take you on a historical and mythical journey you won’t soon forget.

Inspired by Julius Caesar’s legendary river crossing, this epic anthem thrusts you right to the brink of destiny, where empires teeter on the edge. Vocalist Shaughnessy McDaniel shares, “This was one of the first tracks we penned for the EP. It was a blast writing in Latin again and reconnecting with some of my academic buddies. The tale of Caesar and the fall of the Roman Republic has always fascinated me, so crafting this story in a metal format was a real treat. Fans are gonna dig the mix of metal and history, reminiscent of bands like Sabaton, but with our unique twist".

With drums that roar like thunder and vocals that soar to the heavens, “Across the Rubicon” captures the drama and intrigue of one of history's most pivotal moments. The guitars blaze like the fires of war, while the basslines march relentlessly. Siege Perilous paints a vivid picture of ambition and defiance, inviting fans to witness the turning of the tide. This single is a must-listen for power metal enthusiasts and history buffs alike, especially those who groove to Iron Maiden, Wind Rose, and Alestorm.

Let me tell ya, “Creation’s Call” is an absolute blast. Siege Perilous has nailed it with what I’d call Epic Power Metal for the Working Man. No fluff, no over-the-top symphonic interludes, just pure, unadulterated metal that gets right to the point. This EP is a breath of fresh air and a must-listen for fans of the NWOTHM scene. It’s fun, it’s fierce, and it’s highly recommended.
