It's 2015, and you're up on the high plateau of Les Fourgs (25). Suddenly, you stumble upon a band called BYSSHE—named, of course, after the iconic English poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. These folks are cooking up a heady brew of poetry and psychedelic rock, creating a world that’s both strange and folksy, a bit like stepping into a dream you never want to wake up from.
Their first album, Clouds, hit the scene in June 2018, and let me tell you, it was like a breath of fresh air—or more like a gust of trippy wind. Then, in October 2020, they dropped their second album, Forever in the Eye of Change, under the M&O Music label. They kept the vibes flowing, that’s for sure.
Now, they've got a third album coming up, still with M&O, recorded during the winter of 2023-2024. It's called The Sibyl on the Sand, and believe me, it’s gonna find its way to your turntables on September 13, 2024. Mark the date—seriously, put it in your calendar. This one's bound to be a journey through sound, like a mystical guide whispering secrets only the wise will understand.
In my humble opinion, BYSSHE is one of those bands that takes you somewhere else entirely. They blend the old with the new, the familiar with the bizarre, and honestly, isn't that what music is all about? If you're into getting lost in music that makes you think and feel, then BYSSHE is your ticket.
