Now, let’s talk about Bob Saliba. He's not just some random musician; he’s a seasoned pro, having worn many hats—guitarist, singer, composer, you name it. His new band dances between the realms of prog metal and acoustic folk, tossing in some delightful exotic spices from European, Hispanic, and Oriental folk traditions. Bob is always on the move, jamming with bands like KingCrown, where he teamed up with ex-Nightmare guys Jo and David Amore. Their latest album, "Wake Up Call," made waves in 2022.
He’s also carved a niche with Galderia in France (two albums in 2017 and 2022, each hitting over 90K YouTube views), Rubicon in Russia (their latest drop was in 2021), and Daemons Vault down in Brazil, where he’s the lead singer. Talk about international flair!
Remembering his roots, Bob started out with Alix Schmidt back in ‘08, holding his own in the local scene, across various genres from heavy rock to straight-up metal. And boy, does he bring experience—supporting or opening for big names like Ripper Owens and Blaze Bayley, and rocking stages at the Sonisphere festival. One wild ride!
Alright, here’s where the plot thickens—a fictional tale of a paleontologist, either from some distant future or a parallel present. This guy's obsessed with creatures long gone, spending his life deciphering the remains of animals and plants that vanished eons ago. Picture this: at the end of each workday, he’s lost in thought, dreaming about Earth before humans showed up. How cool were those colossal ferns, and those over-the-top arthropods? Can you imagine the epicness of the first complex life forms?
Yet, there's a bittersweet note to all this. The fossilized evidence can be pretty frustrating—just those lifeless prints stuck in stone. But then, what if we could actually meet the Silurian seas’ amazing wildlife or time travel to the Carboniferous forests?
This album’s concept finds its roots in Stephen Jay Gould's “Life is Beautiful” (1988), mixed with Bob’s scientific journey in biology and biotechnologies. Some of you might see this as a gentle reminder: this planet isn’t just ours—no more than a colony of ants in our backyards! Think of it this way: if Earth’s history were squished into just one year, we humans would’ve shown up on the scene on December 31st, around 4 PM. Mind-blowing, right?
