Distorted Reflection: A Doom-Laden Legacy Takes Shape

Sorrows Path, one of the big shots in Greek metal, has unleashed four wicked power-doom albums on the world. But hold your horses, folks, 'cause when they were all pumped up to drop album number five, their main man, Kostas Salomidis, the co-founder and axe-wielder, decided to split for some musical soul-searching.

So, what does Kostas do? He goes and whips up his very own crew - Distorted Reflection. This new jive is all about Kostas's twisted take on doom, cranked up to eleven on the heavy scale. Now, this ain't no overnight gig, peeps. Let me drop you a bombshell - way back in '93, when Takis Drakopoulos was laying down the foundations for Sorrows Path, Kostas was already cooking up the beats with two wicked band names in his back pocket: “Sorrow’s Path” and “Distorted Reflection". Takis went with the first, so Kostas made “Distorted Reflection” his jam. And get this, Kostas is getting vocal for the first time ever, leading the charge for Distorted Reflection alongside a killer lineup of musicians.

The legendary Tomas Arfert, known for his magic touch with Candlemass and Krux, whipped up the logo and decked out the first album with his artistic flair. Brace yourselves for "Doom Rules Eternally", set to drop early 2024 courtesy of German Iron Shield Records. But here’s the twist, folks - Distorted Reflection ain’t going for the spotlight. No live gigs, no chit-chat in front of the cameras - the mysterious vibe is what they're all about.
