IN DAKHMA Drops Debut Album "He Who Sows the Ground" – A Death Metal Masterpiece!

Grab your axes and turn up the volume! Croatian death metal titans IN DAKHMA unleashed their highly anticipated debut full-length album, He Who Sows the Ground, on November 8th, and let me tell you, it’s 🤘already shaking the scene! This isn’t just any album launch; it’s a seismic event for fans of the genre!
Inspired by heavyweights like Entombed, Bloodbath, Cannibal Corpse, Alkaloid, Gojira, Opeth, and Morbid Angel, IN DAKHMA melds fierce riffs with doom-inspired, low guitar tunings to deliver a sound that’s as crushing as it is haunting. It’s a sonic journey that’ll have you headbanging while contemplating life's deepest questions—talk about a powerful paradox!

Lyrically, He Who Sows the Ground dives into the chaotic tapestry of our culture and civilization, addressing the conflicts that plague society while reflecting on ancient tales and their profound meanings. Every lyric was penned by the talented Matko Podobnik, except for a notable track: “Ona kraljuje sama”, a brilliant adaptation of “Smrt i ja” by Antun Branko Šimić, which adds a local flavor to the album.

The recording process took place at Chicken Sound Studio, where Vedran Nor (bass, guitars, vocals) and Matko Podobnik (drums) crafted this brute of an album. After all the blood, sweat, and riffs, it was mixed and mastered by the exceptional Vedran Kovačić Beli. With 11 tracks packed into this beast, you know you’re in for a treat!

But wait, there’s more! The album features guest appearances that elevate the experience. Tomislav Ferenc joins the fray on lead guitar for “Sentinel Hill”, while Darjan Fiolić lays down lead guitar, provides vocals on “Sentinel Hill” and even plays mandolin on the mysterious track titled “Ellipsis”.

The album’s visual identity has been brought to life by the incredible Vanja Perković for the cover art, while all video-related wizardry is credited to Mirko Czukor. Simply put, they’ve wrapped this auditory experience in a package that’s as compelling visually as it is sonically.

He Who Sows the Ground is available now via Tower of Silence Records, the band's very own label, which ensures it’s coming straight from the heart.
