If you're looking for some strong sounds to shake up your playlists, go no further than Death Structure, a modern death metal quintet hailing from Lille, in northern France. Since their inception in summer 2016, they've been serving up a mix of heavy, jerky rhythms reminiscent of titans like Decapitated and Meshuggah, paired with richly dark melodies that’ll draw you right in. We're talking about the kind of tunes that reach the depths of your soul—think Gojira meets The Black Dahlia Murder.
In 2017, they delivered their debut EP titled "Asphyxiate," which is enhanced by the explosive drumming of Romain Goulon (Benighted). The title track, "Principal Waste," goes beyond sound enjoyment, as it discusses serious issues regarding the impact of humankind on this precious world.
From 2018 to 2019, the newly formed lineup then took their stage with Charly on vocals and Maxime on drums. They had several performances and built a large following in the French metal scene. After a few years of work, on December 9, 2021, they released their first full-length album, Paroxysm. They were nominated for the "Violence" category in the "Les Triomphes du Metal Français 2021."
On February 7, 2025, they’re unleashing their long-awaited second album, titled “Le Déni,” under the banner of M&O Music. Prepare yourselves for another ride through their musical universe—where heavy, punchy beats meet haunting, deep tones. It’s an experience that promises to leave you breathless!
